Welcome to the magical Island of Rolltopia, home to the new hyper-casual gaming universe powered by Asset Layer and built with its integration into the Unity engine. Rolltopia combines the gameplay and feature set of several category defining games including Roblox, Neopets, Helix Jump, and more to deliver a rich and immersive gaming experience previously impossible for small to medium size game studios like Asset Layer.
In Rolltopia, gamers collect and create digital pet Rollies which they can bring into an ever-growing list of games and experiences across the Island of Rolltopia. Powerful creator economy features enable developers, artists, and gamers to add their own creativity to Rolltopia through building new games or modifying existing ones, creating new clothing for their digital pets, and collecting and trading cherished items between friends. There is so much to discover in Rolltopia and its potential is only limited by the imagination of its community!
Let The Games Begin!
If you are reading this then you already discovered the once-hidden Island of Rolltopia! Rolltopia is a magical land full of a diversity of furry friends and it is the only home to the rare species of Rollies. So what are Rollies and what do they like to do?
Collecting Rollies
Ever since explorers like you stumbled upon the Island of Rolltopia, Rollies have been excited to meet their new friends. Collecting Rollies is the first step of exploring Rolltopia. Make sure you document your discoveries in your Rollidex. Who knows what else remains to be discovered hidden in the island.
Creating Rollies
Rolltopia is home to many mysterious treasures, including the enigmatic creation crystals. Creation crystals are used to create new families of Rollies. Once you have collected at least two Rollies, find, buy, or trade for a creation crystal and see what you create!
Customizing Rollies
Rollies love to wear fun shoes, clothes, hats, and more. Luckily Rolltopia has many inhabitants looking to sell rare cosmetics and new explorers are coming every day seeking to trade items. Head down to the local shop and see if anything suits your favorite Rollies’ style!
Playing with your Rollies
More than anything else, Rollies love to play and explore! The Island of Rolltopia is full of adventures for your Rollie and new games are being created every day. Try your Rollie in Runway Roller and earn some coins to spend on creation crystals or new items!
Leveling up your Rollies
Practice makes perfect. After a few rounds of Runway Roller, Rollie Jump, or any of the other games on Rolltopia, your Rollie will start to make progress towards achievements. Keep on playing and you may even be able to impress Rocket!
Sound exciting?! This is just the beginning. The Rolltopia alpha is live meaning you can try out the initial gameplay with your Rollies now! To start, we have launched on web for desktop and mobile but a native mobile app for iOS and Android will be available soon during our Beta.

We designed Rolltopia by drawing on core elements of some of our favorite games including Roblox, Neopets, and Helix Jump.
Roblox
Roblox is an incredible game and ecosystem because it unleashes the creativity of its users. In Roblox, game developers, artists, and even gamers are able to contribute their unique ideas to the ecosystem. The ability to contribute to the game you love not only increases engagement for creators, but their additions improve the experience for all players, constantly refreshing Roblox for the hundreds of millions of gamers who play it. Rolltopia incorporates this same model, even extending it further by leveraging the world’s largest game development platform, Unity. Every Rollie, cosmetic, digital item, and even digital currency in Rolltopia is powered by Asset Layer. With Asset Layer, any developer or creator looking to contribute their ideas to Rolltopia can easily do so in Unity, a platform already used by over 60% of game developers.
Neopets
Neopets is a trailblazer in the world of virtual pets, defining a category that would go on to include dozens of titles with over a billion users across them. Digital pets are just plain fun! Rolltopia takes the core lessons of Neopets and massively extends them, enabling users to adopt and generate families of Rollies, raise them, play games with them, and explore everything the Island of Rolltopia offers. Customizing Rollies is encouraged as players are able to earn, buy, and trade cute outfits and items. Don’t like what you see in the shop? Create your own items and even sell them in the marketplace!
Helix Jump
Helix Jump is one of the dozens of wildly popular hyper-casual games where users play games as a ball. Voodoo, the studio behind Helix Jump, has over 5 billion downloads of similar titles spanning the vast and growing hyper-casual category. Rolltopia takes the quick and fun gameplay of a game like Helix Jump and upgrades the simple ball for a cute and loveable Rollie. Playing a quick game on a train ride is much more fun when it’s connected to a broader ecosystem you are invested in. Earning rare cosmetics or leveling up your Rollie through hyper-casual gaming makes the experience extend beyond the brief gameplay. Because Rollies are ball shaped digital pets, there are already dozens of massive and proven titles which they can easily enter into, and creating these extensions is simple for creators thanks to Asset Layer’s Unity integration!
